MISSIONS MARKET SET FOR NOVEMBER 13
The annual St. Peter’s Lutheran Missions Market is set for Saturday, November 13, 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the Garage Sale starting prior to the opening of the market. All proceeds from the Missions Market are given directly to local, state and national causes such as Relay for Life, LICS, church missionary support, etc. Members of St. Peter’s donate their time and talents to give the community the opportunity to purchase items for their own use or to use for gifts.
The market has something for everyone and all ages. The Bake Shop has homemade cakes, pies, sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cupcakes, etc. Our Country Store is filled with locally grown produce in season, canned beets, jellies, jams and many other home canned foods. Members share their plants and shrubs which can be found in the Garden Shop. Have you been looking for a plant and can’t find it anywhere else for a reasonable price? Come check out our Garden Shop as there will be a great selection of plants and shrubs. The Craft Store will have many unique handmade items such as pine straw baskets, crocheted and knitted items, baby gifts, Christmas gifts, birdhouses, etc. Everyone needs to stay for lunch as the Café serves homemade corndogs that are better than those at the State Fair. The Café will also be serving French fries along with those great “dogs.” The Photography Studio will be set up to take your Christmas photos. These photos will be great for those Christmas cards; appointments for pictures will be taken beginning the middle of October. A new addition this year will be the “Missions Kitchen” where you can purchase a frozen casserole to keep in your freezer for a night when you don’t feel up to cookingbroccoli casserole, chicken with wild rice, baked spaghetti, hot chicken salad, and much more.
Additionally, there will be vendors of all types who will have their tables set up for you to purchase items such as Tupperware, specialty children’s clothing, hand made candles, Premier Jewelry, Stanley, specialty gifts for adults and children, handmade jewelry, cancer bracelets, and wooden and ceramic items. If you are a vendor and would like to be a part of the market this year as space is limited, please contact Clyde Sanders (803-359-7171) or sanders@sprynet.com for a form.
Mark your calendars now for SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13!
